A Dobby cotton, not as in the sweet house elf from Harry Potter. This Dobby is even better--by our standards, and we really loved that Dobby. Technically, dobby refers to a woven fabric produced on the dobby loom. Its most notable feature is the pattern and extra texture in the cloth. In this case, we saw a sweet butterfly-like pattern in the black yarns, hence our name, Papillon Voile. There is also a tonal check pattern for an extra quality of texture to the cloth.
Lovely for just about anything, you may recall our Maeve Skirt from season's past in this delightful fabric.
